Yeah, I'm with Devo, the Kodak cameras are dead simple to use & ditto for their software, my new Olympus is a P.I.T.A. & the software is overly complicated for my tiny, limited capacity, still evolving brain, I keep going back to my trusty Box Brownie 1mp Kodak DC3200.

I like the Cannon cameras,I just bought my wife an IXUS 70 & it's an awesome camera & the cannon zoombrowser software is easy to use.
7.1mp, 3x optical zoom, video/sound etc etc....
The thing I really like is the rechargable lithium battery which lasts an unbelievably long time.
Hardly Normal is advertising them for under $300 now, if your going to buy one off ebay be sure it's a genuine model cause the chinese ones are crap.

These sort of things can help as well mate: http://www.whatdigitalcamera.com/equipment/Digital%20Camera/698/index.php

Just do a search on digital camera reviews. Everyone will give you there own report on their camera but sometimes the guys that try them all can compare them all and steer you clear. Make sure the place you visit is totally covered in ads though as they could be biased. As with anything, don't rush in!
