Hey guys, So I've had my non LAMS '97 Suzuki Bandit 600 for a few months now, and the initial plan was ride it for a while and sell it on, but I've kind of grown to the riding style of her, the only problem is she's uuuuuuugly as sin!<br>Kind of like a fat bitch..Fun to ride, but you don't want your mates to find out...

So... This brings me to the dilemma of A) Should I sell it and get something else all together, or B) Go nuts, modify, streetfight her, paint plastics/tank to have a two-tone theme with the green frame...

If I decide to keep her and go down path "B", the plan will be a basic dominator twin headlight front, small black screen to hide the instrument cups, re-trim seat, add a seat cowl, paint some bits like the fork triples black, and eventually a respray of the tank and side/rear plastics in a contrasting colour like black or white.

Anyway, here's a couple of pics so you all know what I'm currently putting up with:http://i942.photobucket.com/albums/ad268/spudley_photos/BANDIT/Yamaha_XVS1100A_DragStar_Classic_13_1280x800.jpght tp://i942.photobucket.com/albums/ad268/spudley_photos/BANDIT/539950_10150828162177670_2141274944_n.jpghttp://i942.photobucket.com/albums/ad268/spudley_photos/BANDIT/536100_10150880117387670_514781584_n.jpg

Rip that headunit thing off, I think you will be doing the bike a favour. Looks like it has a decent setup with the bars and mirrors dominators would make it look pretty sick i reckon!

Welcome.

Have you had a look through the Bandit pic's ?
http://www.streetfighters.com.au/forum/showthread.php?9305-Suzuki-Bandits

Almost anything you can do to a 12 you can do to a 6.
Lots of parts mix and match.
GSXR750 motor, USD fronts, etc etc.

The only real giveaway to it being a 6 is the silver motor,
2 clocks not 3 and the welded rear peg hangers.

I've never owned a 6, but i'd have one as it has the
same blank canvas potential as the best of them.

Mk1 faired Bandits are VERY easy to turn into the Naked version.

Hey mate, welcome. You've got a good starting point there as TN points out. To help you along the way of Fightering your bike I know what you need to do............................................you need to fit a single sided swing arm on to yer Bandit that's what you need to do matey :) and I just happen to have one hanging around that you could use :) :)

Haha! Thanks all for the replies!
Looks like with the age and KM's she's clocked up, it'll be hard and money loosing excercise to sell, so looks like i'll be fightin' her!
Unicorn's already hooked me up with some dommies, old skool bandit has hooked me up with a new rear shock, just gotta find some 41mm fork brackets for the lights and it'll be underway! A new tail could be on the horizon, but I'll be keeping that to myself until it's 100% happening ;)
