A bloke on another forum has isn't satisfied with his turbo GSXR1000, so he's using the remains of a Busa that his brother punched into the side of a bus to make a Turbo Busa with a one off frame that'll look something like

Now we've all heard these great ideas that people have for specials, but check out the workmanship that's gone into the swingarm/suspension mount part of the frame.

The guy who owns it isn't building it and he reckons the guy doing the work is a reclusive genious who doesn't want everyone hassling him to get work done.

Having said that, I'm fourth in line if he does change his mind:D

Ivan you know the motors and controllers can be brought to convert a std lathe and mill to programmable, not that expensive.

A mate in SYD did it , i'll get some details
First thing he did was a ball end on a piece of rod, worked perfect !

I've seen plans and kits for two axis cnc machines for hobby stuff, and I can <s>steal</s> borrow stepper motors and other bits from work, but 3 axis or more would be the go

I think there might be enough people on here who could want a set so a bulk order could be made

the ball swrew and nuts you speak of booster are available from your local bearing shop.

i wonder if any of you guys have contacts in the bearing industry that could help?

Thats right Deano , Found out a bit more but still to catch up to the right guy, the stepper motors were brought , then the controller and he wrote the programme,

I'm still not saying who's doing the build, partly because the guy wants no publicity - he's not interested in dealing with people asking him to make things and partly because I don't know. All I know is he's in NSW I think:)

Anywho, this is what they're working from

I can even begin to imagine the headache's and thinking
that go's behind something like this, but....

Once you have built one, and it works, how hard is it
to build the 2nd / 3rd etc. CNC? Frame Jig's?

Maybe not this actual bike if he wants to be exclusive,
but Australia still hasn't got its Harris/Spondon/Martek/
Egli/G&G/Moto Martin etc, a few one off's, but not to any
great extent.

That’s one hell of a project bike. I wish they had just cleared the frame so you can see the artwork in the welds etc.

He will shit the first time he uses those brakes, they are fucking awesome, I have them on a project that I'm doing with BST and Nitrogen Ohlins forks on my Supercharged Rotrex 1150cc Speed Triple.

BST wheels, carbon ceramic brake rotors and titanium bolts make the front-end almost 5kg lighter than stock.... Each rotor is 660 grams each.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3270/2952392563_f14e3a3952_o.jpg

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3052/2953241852_e2c5006890_o.jpg

I take my hat off to the builder.

I would have made my own frame from carbon but I will not be able to register the bike for road use apparently. Any advice on one off frames and doing it legal in SA?

Don’t mean to jump this post but we are on the same path…

Global Business Model:

Make it as cheap as possible using cheapest materials to the cheapest designs and uisng the cheapest labour from developing countries who arent too fussed about worker rights.

Then sell your well known national named product to the same punters at increasing retail price and by constantly working hard to maximise the profit on the cheaper product. Always looking for ways to make it cheaper and sell it for a higher cost.
So you end up with an expensive branded piece of cheap shite
