Righto Boys, time to get your cock out of your sock and join us for a winter run. Destination will be somewhere in the New England area, probably Emmaville but open to suggestions. I saw the weather up there was -10 last night so it looks like the perfect time to go. We might try and bypass Glen Innes this year as everytime we go there it fucking pisses on us, not to mention the sleet a few years ago. The Byron Bay Home for OCD Streetfighter riders will be open for business on Friday night if anyone wants an early start to the weekend. We normally take the long way to the pub, and leave ourselves a shorter ride home the next day when we don't feel so good. My email is savins4@linknet.com.au if more correspondence is required.

Hi Guys, stayed at Emmaville on Saturday night. I do this every year with an older crowd and will continue to do so.

FYI...The Bad News...three ks of mud / road works right up to and outside the Club Hotel Emmaville. Bike is a mess and the centre of the radiator is not looking the best for it either and I was riding slow.

Stayed at the Club Hotel...all of the fire places don't work any more...air cons just coped and it wasn't really that cold. Toilets are outside and rooms are like ice cubes.

Not much of a menu and breakfast is always served cold when groups stay.

Premixes are $8.50 each, spirits $5.00. After last drinks they ask that you leave the bar and go outside in the cold.

No entertainment. Pool table is outside in the cold. No bike parking except for under the eves.

And a boring 160ks return trip to Tenterfield where we left the Royal Hotel with a hot fire, carpet under feet, same price accommodation with fantastic meals (only saw the lunches).

Good News...electric blankets for people who don't want to cuddle.

Just putting it out there for the people that haven't been to The Club Hotel.

Terry, you might have another hotel that you suggest to stay at but that doesn't stop there being the crappy roadworks coming into Emmaville. Maybe they will have it up to the sticky tar stage in 2 weeks.

Trying to make the time for this one. Happy to go with the flow.

We Could do Ashford instead of Emmaville, not much further, Small pub, not bad food, reasonable Drink prices, limited undercover bike parking - Dont know just hanging it out there.

Emmaville is out, not enough beds. Ashford pub is $30. I checked with the pub we stayed in at Glen Innes, $35 includes brekky and he's built a shed to lock bikes in. Any other suggestions? I plan on booking somewhere before the end of the week.
