Long shot, but if you don't ask- I'm chasing a cbr600f front end and rims. I've got a line on a freebie old cb900 that could do with an upgrade. Prefer f2, but look at anything (early fireblade stuff?) that could be easily swapped in. I'm in Brissy, Canberra ok also

were looking for a cbr 1000 swinger 2000 model

Interesting. Do you know if it was just a case of pressing the stem into the gsxr tree?

not hard to have a new steam made up to suit
imo its the easist way to do a front end swap

Fair enough, and that's what I did to swap the R1 front onto my CBR. But this time around I'm aiming for cheap and quick. The CB900 is in a shed at my folk's outside of Canberra. The idea is to fly down, spend a few days getting it roadworthy, then ride back. The last time I looked at it it had a dragging front brake, leaking fork seals and a fossilized front tire. If I can pick up a cheap front end beforehand that will swap straight on, I'm halfway there.
