bit disolusioned with my bike at the moment. mostly cause it needs lots of help, but also wondering whether a different type of bike would be better suited to what i want.

anyway, anyone in sydney know where i can get my h-bracket welded up and a new peice tacked on? and can anyone recommend a decent wreckers. i've been to smw and rang up allmotorcycle wreckers and they both seemed ok, just wondering whether anyone has a favourite or someone who is a good bloke worth supporting?

h bracket as in that bit that holds the mirrors and fairing on. trying to keep the stock headlight etc.

the dude who had the bike before me must have stacked and busted the h bracket up and he's just cut off the little end bit. it looks like aluminium or alloy to me. i'll get a pick of what needs welding. still havent found anything to tack on yet but plain ally should do. damo thanks heaps for the offer, i might take you up on that. i'll send you an email or something, is your email in your profile or something?

The guy who runs smw must be a good bloke (Can't remember his name, shaved head, big fuggin beard)cos he loves old gsxrs. And he matched a price that metro's was asking for an alternator.
Recomended.

ok here are some picccytures
normal part of the bracket

the other side with amputated important part + home mirror mod[8D]

the broken one has cracked down the bottom and needs to be welded&bent down a bit and a flat piece needs to be welded on to the end and i can drill a few holes in it and hold the front fairing on.

Try find someone who does alloy welding around your way they should have a scrap
box you should be able to pick some up for nearly nothing.
Alloy will bend realy easy so you shouldnt have any dramas.
