For awhile I have wanted to build a cool bobber that also had some guts. Kind of getting sick of all the xs650's out there that all look the same and are slow arse things.

So I decided I would build one out of a litre bike. I spoke to 80s freak (long term mates) and the Suzuki GSX was one of the models he suggested (gee I wonder why). Well a short time later I found one for what I think is a good price and bought the sucker.

I have only had it for a couple of weeks but it is almost to the stage of getting the frame blasted and poder coated.

Here are a few pics of the progress including a (VERY) rough mock up. I also have a bunch of parts on route from the UK that would be at home on any fighter.

Humble beginnings
1539
A very rough mock up, will have different bars
1540
1541
Just need to remove the motor and wiring loom
1542
What's been removed never to go back on.
1543

Anyway, that's all for now, will update this as the build progresses.
Cheers

Mmmm GSX, mmmm. Power coating eh, Geoff's obviously been whispering Mr. Turbo in yer ear  I have a good set of forged oversized pistons and rings if you're looking for a bit more torque if you're interested

Wackyrider, the frame has a lot of surface rust and needs recoating of some description, I just thought powdercoating would be a good idea. If you have a better one please let me know as I am also pretty handy with a rattle can.

Stiffsimon, I might be interested if the price is right :)

Wackyrider, I took it to Arvex in South Oakleigh and I must say I am happy with the results.
Pictures on my blog if you are interested?
