Hi all,

Signed on to watch cabbie's build and to get some ideas and such for my next / current bike.

Dropped my bike on a coast road last month, didn't have crash bobbins, now I'm waiting for parts from Japan. Gah:(. Been a month since I've been on two wheels. Was so tempted to turn my bike into a fighter after getting first quote back from the repairers. But then insurance paid out.
So for now and until I pay this bike off, I'm going to be with out my own fighter.

But I do have my plans and ideas for when I get my grubby paws on another bike. (having one bike, I've found isn't enough.)

Thanks,
Um, oddly enough, I don't actually have that many pictures. I'd always ment to do a proper shoot with the Ninja, but I always thought to go riding instead. :p

Here's what I've got, took them on my Pentax Mx. Thought I'd try out my macro / zoom lens after wasing the bike down, A bit porographic I know, but here they are anyways. More details on flickr.

The only other piccies I have are straight after my crash in March, (the camera survived yay) and the day I got it still gotta scan them in.

found a cell phone snap, and a few others.

Here's the Ninja soon after I took delivery.

And then here are my past bikes in cronological order.

First up we have the bike that started it all in its final incarnation. Had to swap the handlebars out after dropping my bike at the seapoint Mac D's parking lot. (It was windy, and a girl walked past.) Anyways managed to get back to work in town, in good time, the junk food was still warm.

Rode the poor guy into the ground, didn't bother to do anything but a oil change. I was a stupid little shit.
Sold it for a R 1 000.

Then I was with out a motorcycle for a long time, I'd heard of a friend's motorbike in a garage that he might sell cheap, but I was anxious about taking it on as a project and figured I should save my money.
Woke up one day and thought, f*ck it.

Borrowed a friend's bakkie / pick up truck, and took it home. Paid my friend R1 000.

And here it is in mom's kitchen with my new dog at the time, Bongo. He's a champ.

Mom was certainly not happy with her kitchen being turned into a workshop, and I was not having any luck finding a replacement front end. As I recall the MC21's forks where a wierd diameter, and so nothing fit. I certainly didn't really know what I was doing, so I dropped it off with a nice chap called Morne, who basically fixed up the bike as best he could and got it running for me.

The bike ran great, well sort of. You had to kick start it and if it wasn't cold you'd end up having to kick it over and over and over and over again till your calf was sore. Needless to say I think I learned pretty good kick starting technique. :o
One problem this bike shared with the CD200 and my Dad's Vespa was the lack of a working fuel gage. I ran out of petrol, a lot.
I think the leaky fuel tap didn't help either.
Here are the last pictures I took of the bike before I sold it on. I had run out of fuel in a nice scenic spot on the way to hout bay. Luckily I had airtime to have a friend bring some fuel around.
