Looking to swap out the forks on the 82 gs850g project have no idea what would really fitUpper 25x47x15 Lower 30x55x17 Any help would be great. Will post more demensions. Looking To try and keep the stock rim but swap out the discs and calipers to a multi piston option. Anti dive is also disirable. Basicy modern forks. Thanks in advance Ferret M

There's a touch of sarcasm due to not introducing yourself mate. Go here: http://www.streetfighters.com.au/forum/forumdisplay.php?39-Welcome-To-The-Madness and say hello and the guys will be answering a little more seriously.

Cheers.

Why change the forks but keep the crappy tall skinny wheel ?
Other than looks I cant think of a reason ?

A complete front end swop would help,
but then it wont match the rear, and as its a shafty
that wouldnt be easy.

Modern forks dont have anti-dive (as in Katana / Gpz)
things have moved on and modern forks are better without it.

RF 600/900 front end complete will go straight in, as it diod on my gsx1100, your bike runs the same bearings and head stock length. heap better brakes and 17" wheel. that's the go if you want right way up forks. As for the arse end, GSX1100G Late model with the gsxr based engine runs a 180 rear tyre with shaft drive. Don't know how easy the swap would be but worth looking into.

much appreciated looking good so far. i will look in to that gsx rear end. so its off to look at some micro-finches. the idea of upside downs is not something iv ruled out tho.

sorry for being a rude rodent and not introducing my self.
