digital dashes

Mucking around with a cheap FZ6 i bought

want to p off the ugly round offset instrument cluster, its a full LED / digital unit

just wondering if anyone can tell me how easy it is to fit something else - what i want to know is are the input signals to digital dashes "common" or do you need to start fitting compatible sensors

I went for a complete package from Extreme creations being an Acewell dash... came with comprehensive instructions which helped a non-mechanically minded person put in a dash...
