Hi Wise-ones

Ive picked myself up a pretty tidy CBR400RR NC23 (1989) with track fairings to use this year at trackdays

It was grey-imported, but not complied as it went straight to the track a few years ago.
But its such a nice bike I think it would suit Anne really well (she finds her current CB400T a bit cumbersome and heavy) once im done with it at the track

It wouldnt be too hard for me to cut some projector lights into the fairing, blinkers, speedo, taillight etc

so im wondering if anyone has gone through that process in NSW

thanks

If no one else can help you Fimp I would talk to Hatrley of Geoff at RB Imports/Racing on Taren Point Road they specialise in these.

Does it have an import plate??

If not you need to find someone who does them and find out what to do.

^^^^^^^^^^^ Jacktar is right if you are in Sydney- they did heaps of them yrs ago, or maybe just give
them or someone a call thats into that import stuff.

I had an FZ250 (1986) that had no compliance plate or import plate and QLD Transport told me to check with this mob:

http://www.infrastructure.gov.au/roads/vehicle_regulation/bulletin/importing_vehicles/index.aspx

Who did a check on the chassis number and found out it was imported / complied. They then emailed me a certificate to that effect and the bike could then be registered. All free of charge, too.

Not saying you'll have the same luck, but it's probably worth just giving them a call to see if the bike has been complied at some stage or at least they should be able to tell you what you need to do to get it on the road.
