im pretty sure it started out life as a GSX1100?

i'de agree. looks like a GSX1100 would look heaps better with an awesome Mr. turbo kit like Geoff's.

THE site for all things Suzuki. Looks to me like an early GSX 11 ET engine with GS 1000 tank and as said before fuck knows what everything else is. I'm pretty sure it's an OSS members bike though.

Its the first of the ET motors cos it has the internal oil filter - like this one of mine

all gsx 11 have internal oil filters up to efe the frame looks to have a standard cradle modified rear section
Its the first of the ET motors cos it has the internal oil filter - like this one of mine

After 20+ years the motor could have been painted,
polished, cam caps changed etc.

Could be ET / EX / SD / ESD or any air cooled GSX to me !!

Ok so tank and engine sorted! Anyone got a clue on the frame? Gsx1100 also?

looks like a 1400 frame , well at least a 1400 engine cradle

I still think its a gsx 1100 frame looking at the swing arm pivot gusset and engine mounts

Ok so I had this passed on to me, it's a gxs1100 with a GS1000
Tank custom swinger, forks off something and Duke 999 wheels.

I want to build one!!!!! Who's got an old Gixxer for me?
