new to forum

hi everyone i am new to the forum and am looking for advice on the basics of streetfightering a bike,i have a 2006 cbr1000rr and want to begin mods on it but can only do basic work ie handle bars,grips,levers,i have just ordered a handlebar conversion kit from au.s.f.r website and was wondering if this is the kind of job you can do without too much knowledge or best to let a proffesional do it in which case can anyone recommend someone in perth as im struggling to find someone apart from the bigger shops which charge a fortune thanks
