so what's wrong with your old one that you needed a replacement?

If it's just the backlighting gone i should be able to help. if its something worse i think you would probably be shit outa luck cause a lot of this stuff is flow soldered and very hard to take apart and put back together (the electronic components in it that is)

Many can just be "re-set"

I know folk who have done clock-swaps in the UK
but not sure about out here.

the dash was smashed in the crash, case was stuffed and the turn signal, fuel and headlight led's
broke off, i can swap the case thats easy maybe i should just take the led's off the new one and solder them in the old one???

yeah soldering LED's is generally fairly easy, when you get into the controllers and stuff they are a lot more delicate and fiddly. I think that would be the easiest/cheapest option.

Why not leave the new one as is, and just go to jacar electroincs buy some leds and replace the broken ones with new ones? The have two working dash's instead of one.

Fit new dash.
Ignore mileage.

Job done.
