one fuckin bolt droppped down the sparkplug hole. engine out, top end off. fuck it. there is an upside. my bike will have a top end freshen up while it's apart.

it's only an M5X30. i was fitting my throttle cable and dropped it. it bounced off about 3 other things then straight down the hole.

pays to rag up open holes , learnt that the hard way myself. Though I managed to get mine out with a magnet on some string and lot of swearing.

i had the pen magnet for about 2 hours. the bolt rolled to the front of the cylinder and i couldn't get anywhere near it. i tried wire throught the inlet and exhaust valves to push it back but with no success. turns out the head gasket was a bit dodgy so it kinda worked out in a fucked up kinda way.

As it happens it worked out for the better, did you try lowering the piston in the bore to give a lesser angle and put a slight bow in the magnet shaft?
But like you say worked out better in a fucked up kind of way any hoo.

yeah, i had the piston up/down. it was a headfuck.

yeah i like it. i like to tune the bike by bouncing it off the rev limiter for 30sec too.;)

Should have just fired it up hit the redline ....shoot it out the muffler :rolleyes:
