Hi Guys, chasing a steering damper for my 2001 FZ1. Does anyone have something that might fit

Hmm. I have one for the GSXR that you might be able to adapt. It's a fork to frame mounted version. What size diameter forks do you have? Are they USD or RWU?

RWU 43mm, if you have some parts i know of a good little engineering shop out behind Burleigh.

I was looking at it the other day and realised I'll never use it again. I bought it new and had it on the bike for about 3 rides. Then I realised that with bars as wide as mine, I'd have to be some kind of serious homo not to be able to control a tank slapper. This has been proven over the last 6 years without it, including the ride this weekend. You know when we left The Drake Hotel layby, when I went over that bridge after an enthusiastic take off, I hit that massive lump with one hand on the bars and it went ballistic. Got me out of shape but easy to get back with those bars.
