Damo's cheesy helmet

I purchased a simpson helmet of Pete (revheadpete) which i am loving...............but i was not really happy with the flame job on the front of it i must say.

I love the candy skulls in the back but the flames i felt were a bit of a let down to the rest of the helmet IMO.

So one thing lead to another and before i knew it i was planning a cheesy grin for the front of it, i'd always loved the design and humore behind it from the first time i'd seen it done.

So i thought i'd have a go at it and see how it came out.

Here is my first ever attempt at a cheesy grin, i'm gonna do a little more fine tuning to it but you get the idea.

And as you all know "every rat has to have a gold tooth" so i got one of them coming for the design to finish it off as well.

Let me know what you think as usual i'm open to all feedback Pos/neg

Thanks all the positive feedback guys .

I had a couple of comments about the squarness of the teeth (from people that have seen it up close in real life), so i took it on board dragged on the airbrush again and set to work on the mark2 cheesy grin.

Ive gone back in and cut the two front teeth apart and also reshaped them slightly so they are not as square to look at.

I also did the gums in a brighter colour so you can actually see that the teeth are set in gums.

And the gold tooth got a start as well as doing a little more shading in some places and to give them more definition and shape.

So what do you think of the Mark2 cheesy grin??

looks awesome Damo. For humor you could paint a squished dragonfly in between the teeth.

I have been trying some new techniques with my airbrush in my spare time and knocked up these three different
smiles.

These are all free hand with no stencils at all and starting from a blank canvas.

I think they all came out pretty good (excpt for the white teeth pink lips- where it lifted the base color under one of the teeth to fuck it.)

The only thing i would change on the sharp teeth smile is open it slightly and have a gap between.

What do you think of these lot??
