i have mocked up the new swing arm tho and once mr lynton has .."adapted" it and ive found some wheels we re away ..well at least ill be able to wheel it around the workshop

the seat base needs lengthening and i need to attack the frame and lop off all the unnecessary lugs etc luckily the XS swinger and the Zephyr swinger aren't that far apart in diamesions

that arm will look good in there old boy but needs a far bit taken of the sides to get it to fit buy the look of it

right aquired a 2011 zxr 250 rear wheel [17x130/140and bunged it in to see whats waht its axle is way too short and itll need a couple of spacers...so have if anyone has a matching front im interested or even something close wil be good

ok guys i now have possesion of the yammy which is as of today down to bare frame ready to be cleaned of all the old crap that is on it and then start chopping off all uninvited brackets that will no longer be needed which there is quite a few ,photos of progress will be up this week some time needs to be done by nfr so the oldboy can be riding his own bike and having fun cheers steve.

ok guys have been chopping & grinding removed all bits that are no longer needed tidy up frame a bit made mounts for seat cowl ,now waiting on jim for more bits so i can mock up some more stuff before fitting and welding will take plenty of photos as i go along .thanks to ian for putting up photos for me so back to the shed .

pav mate u dont know me for shit but i have jims swing here i have just tacked up the brace but ran out of gas before i did any real welds
early next week i will have some more but i thought i would just ask do u want it fully welded before jim picks it up next week
id be happer finishing it(i did it quick late at night so happer if i get it to look better before any 1 sees it lol) but i eye balled it off a couple of phone pics he took i think it clears the frame and chain . ill take some more pics and post them over this week end see what u think

sweet thats what i like to hear
like i said was just a quess thats y i ended up not welding it in case u had to move it back a fly to clear lower frame
1st go at doing anything like it but i think i could get used to it :) keep a eye out for my frame jig im building 1st job will be sharky's

lower frame if anything may be only prob and is only a maybe and pics will happen throughout entire build thats for sure .
