I always think of the Welsh and Cornish pasties when I hear that...

Oggy Oggy Oggy originated in England. They reckon it was original a call from a Cornish pasty vendor back in the 20's who would shout Oggy Oggy Oggy across a yard or mine (a bit like the smoko van horn of today) and the workers who wanted pasties would reply with Oi Oi Oi. Then during the 70's I think it was the Welsh rugby fans who started chanting it during rugby games from one side of the field to the other. This became a popular cry and then during the 80's Aussie's adopted it and changed it to Aussie Aussie Aussie. Being and import I was still in the UK during the 70's and 80's so I always think of the yells I heard from Welsh Rugby fans. Took me by surprise when I heard the Aussie Aussie Aussie version in the 90's.
