This is off a 03 gixer 1000, can I make it fit my 750 slingshot, is it a good idea? How much is a good price? Appreciate any advice.

Get one of the Gixer owners on here to measure the width of the swingarm where it mounts for starters and compare it to your Slingshot. Always a good start.

want to make sure the swinger wont hit the inside of the rearsets

might have to move the battery too, to mount the shock
is the slingshot a mono already?

oh, and i would pay about a grand for the whole setup i think
pretty convenient to have it all there in one spot

Yea, it's a mono. I thought the gas cyclinder was built into the shock on this model but I can't see it there. I have a Gixer 1000 shock fitted to my '89 GSXR and as you say Fimp, the battery box needs relocating as the gas cylinder makes the whole unit higher.

got one in a slabbie needs a few mm spacer each side, bigist problem is that the pivot shaft on the late model is much larger than the early model and will need to make some adaptors or something like that. mine is solid mount in a chassis for drag racing so i have machined new bushes instead of bearings and it has solid struts from the chassis to the swinger, so with a bit fo thought you should be able to make it fit easly and work nicely. you will ahve to refer to someone else abut the shocky mount conversion but it don't sound like to much of a prob
