Mottobatt batteries?????????

Has anyone used one of these puppies??? if so are they any good?
i have seen a few reviews that rave about them, but wondered if anyone here has had any experience's

About 6 months runs the scanenger pump, headlight, fuel pump when it not running and Im dicking about and still has plenty of kick

yeah they went flat and would even except charge both in different bikes got warranty on them though

Unusual I would aggree with Dylan bad batch, they dont like being upside down but otherwise there pritty tough. I use cheap ass sealed lead acid and havent had an issue yet, and I abuse the crap outa them.

I've had one in the Tuono for six months and it's just getting lazy now, it was supposed to have more cranking power than the Yuasa piece of shit that came out of it but I'm not sold they are as good as the reviews say they should be.

You should get a shorai... and tell me how it goes with the 990. I have the issue of voltage drops on start with mine that make the dash reset sometimes.

Try asking someone that knows about Aprilia's and you might get the fix for that one.

what's your suggestion dude? I know i should get a good starter relay (which i will after my holiday, i hear the yammy ones are the go) and also need to do the brown connector mod thingo for the RR, but is there anything else i can do to help it? I know if i don't fix it it can cause issues with the starter sprag clutch (this is the clutch thing i was talking about before i got it, obviously i was a little confused)

What size battery do you have in it?
The standard 12ah was not big enough, what plugs are you running? try a range hotter as they will fowl plugs at start up due to low cranking amps the lower the number of plug the higher the heat range.
A 14ah will need a spacer put under the battery clamp which holds the battery in place but there is enough room to do this mod.
Make sure there is no holes in the clutch diaphram as this will fowl the rear plug and burn oil.
I have fitted cheap after market starter relays to they with good results, swap the Tony brown plug and leads to the loome you are using if you havent already as I think they had fixed that problem by that model.

i'm pretty sure i have a 14 in there (it was in the 2nd gen i got, so i have no idea of its condition) not sure on the plugs. The bike starts pretty fine (like 2-5 cranks to start) so i don't think fouling plugs will be an issue, its just the voltage drop is annoying (puts the rev light to 6k and resets the clock/odo) and i am a little worried about the sprag issue.

the clutch diaphram is fine like wine too, i swapped the whole clutch side covers over from the 2nd gen and it looked fine.
