Hey I'm kinda new signed up a while ago been hanging around reading a bit.

Have a 03 ZRX1200S I want to strip it down a bit it's all stock except for braided lines front and clutch, and mirrors and indicators due to some poor judgement.
Have a perspex window pulsar cover & alloy sprocket cover ready to go with +4 advancer.

Anyway just wanted to say hi and introduce myself name's Doug I'm 29 from Goulburn.

Welcome aboard mate. Not a great deal of stripping to do on one of those so should be easy. What are your plans?

Pretty basic at this point, I was looking at the twin dominator headlights, possibly keeping the standard clocks.
Clipons, keeping standard front end and doing the internals but ditching the 6 pots and maybe going the older nissin 4 pots with cbr masters for clutch as well.
Got a 636 swinger on the way that will replace the old one but I want to keep the original shocks, although I have seen some nice rear ends over in the model specific gallery.
I think if you're going to go mono you have to ditch the tail. Undecided.
I have 17 45 sprockets with chain waiting to go on ( currently 17 42 ) and I'm waiting on some new ebc contours, already have the rear here.

Took these saturday just before I did the c&s, rear rotor and front sprocket cover.
Note the gasket goo holding on the indi ;) the mounting stuff it came with was no good so I used what I had on hand.
And the stock mirror mounts with the "universal fit" bike master candy drops.
Also the lovely marks from the oxford cover on the windscreen, would not recommend them to anyone after using that cover, kept the bike more wet than dry.
I do kinda like the fairing though, would look much better in another colour.

Should be good once I decide on a headlight unit, I know I originally said I was going doms but they wont put out as much light as the standard so I'm searching for something that will do it and look good at the same time.

Dominators arnt too bad, they've had they'r day tho. Gettin a little played out now IMO...
Maybe look for the bates style twins. they are larger n proper old skool! That or a bid single maybe???

You mean like the aztec lights? Does anyone know which way they dip? I like the look of the 5 + inch twins.
Yeah I was wondering what a huge single would look like?

I don't mind that one but it might be too narrow for the bike. I was considering stuff like the Fire headlight and that LSL one but I think the width of the bike needs something bigger. On aztec they do have a zrx with the 5" 3/4 but they've also relocated the horn to the splitter mount right under the lights :( looks funny.
Also black looks good.
