Without getting into any discussions about who does and who doesn't and how valid the spray might be, I personally would like to see more stuff about bikes, and bike related stuff and less about how much someone is a kunt.

I have seen on other sites a Penalty Box system where by if you're posting shite that isn't in the general spirit or interest of the site your comment get moves there and is removed a week later. If you end up with 3 comments in there at anyone time your ability to post gets suspended for a month. This may or not even be possible or suitable here, but thought it worth throwing out.

More box on this site ? HaHa. Sounds like alot of effort for something that will work itself out soon enough.. I would think with the X- Mas break having people away from there puters plus big swap to the new format, the limited amount of people posting atm will be over soon.

Once the happy campers are all back to there usual antics, I would guess the trash talk will subside to its more usual level. The crap seems to have reduced somewhat already anyhow.

As far as I can tell the rep function seems to be having an effect on the feel of the place. It seems to me that people are actually watching what they say because, as some have found out, public opinion is swift and severe...

I don't think it is a good idea to give the power of punishment (however brief or meaningless) to a select few because there will always be situations where comments are taken out of context or the reader missed the intended sarcasm etc. All which will be met with a barrage of "Why did my comment get sent to the box?!"

Lets not forget favouritism, too. What is said by one person may go unpunished but something merely implied by a "trouble maker" is instantly zapped.

I like the current set up as death via public opinion is far more entertaining that the same via moderation. It is fairer and more often than not, far more accurate.

ASF is like the wild west of the internet you can say/post just about anything you want (the way I like it) you may get a spray in reply but that's life and some just need to let shit go and grow up, The internet is full of people and as a rule I hate people but I don't slag them off everytime they post.

I just moved it out of sight, i didn't delete it. Just as i have done with the second thread titled the same. Any of the mods can move them back at any time. But I have noticed they haven't as yet, so don't think it was just me wanting it dead.

I'm a streetfighter owner/builder (and on rare occasion rider), my decisions aren't influenced, they just happen.

I think the OP was trying to say that people haven't been censoring themselves hence the need for a line in the sand to be drawn.

I love the fact ASF has pretty much no limits or restrictions, but..... There is a point where I think it is too far beyond reasonable. Personally, I think the ignore function is there for a reason and should be used more often. But what would I know? I bought my fighter and as of yet haven't modded anything on it...
