Is this a good deal?

Hey guys, still at sea but sometimes I can get enough bandwidth to get on the site.

A mate of mine (okay someone I owe money to) is thinking of getting this bike which is on eGay can anyone tell me if this is a good deal because I don't know anything about these bikes.

Kawasaki KLR 650, 2005 model, 3800klms, $6,500.

if you walk into a kwaka dealership and hand over $8500 cash,
you cant walk out with a brand new one!!!

red book says average price $4800 - $5700

I reckon asking too much!
they arent a real sort after bike, pretty gutless for a 650 too!!.
but reliable and cheap to work on!!
