Just putting it out there to see if anyone/everyone would like to go on a few more organized rides next year.
See I would like to step up the SEQ ASF ride scene next year, and I'm puting out some feelers to see who's intrested so I'm throwing a few ideas out....however open to any suggestions as well. Here are a few options, some we have done before and worked well.....so cast your vote........

I meant to do the Nov 1770 run again this year but due to
money and moving it never happened. Done 3 with ASF and
had a ball. Doesnt have to be in November though.

I normaly just do lots of day run's....
# Farmers Arms via Mt G and Esk,
# Bruxner Hwy via Lion's Rd and Casino,
# Malaney over Mt Mee,
# Around Somerset Dam to Kilcoy,
# Queen Mary Fall's from Peaks crossing / Boonha.

A bit far to go for a ride Simon don't you think :)

Nah, it's only a couple of fingers width away on the map and anyway Km's are shorter than miles :)

Hey Mono, it'll be good to catch up on some of these rides. I'll try to get to as many as possible so if you want to head up regular or at least more frequant rides this would be great. I'll support that.

Tony's got some classic's when it come to day loops

I like this idea. I'm thinking Airlie Beach Via Toowoomba (You can pick up the Toowoomba boys like Harry, DC Racing and I on the way through), and head up there via Monto, Gayndah, Biloela (Meet the Gladstone boys here) on up over Mount Morgan and into Rocky. We can then take the scenic loop via Emerald to Muckeye or run the boring as fuck Marlboro stretch. I'll leave that open for debate.

But I'm in assuming of course we do it around Easter time. Why Easter? gives me the ability to have the Wifey at her folks place with the kids and time off Uni etc etc plus number 6 won't be born then so I'm a shot at a leave pass for a week or so of we take a couple of days wandering up and down.

I'll be in for as many as I can. This year I'm studying though, so that will probably restrict me a little.

Ok i've got some plans happening some soon some down the track .
Will post all rides/meet ups here so they are easily found by all, hence the title.
They will also be put up on the calender so keep a eye on it too
Feel free for anyone else to organize any rides too

Wouldnt be suprised if Mt G became a bit of a hot spot
for cop's soon. I know it always has been, but 3 riders off,
2 of them fatal in the last week. Just worth thinking about.

Boonah, up the back way to Queen Mary Fall's.
Had a feed. Home via settlers way and over
Cunninghams Gap. Back across to Boonah,

Another option that I sometimes do with one of the forums is:

One of the riders who's bikes off the road, or someone's Mrs,
or just a volunteer, sets off to a local park and sets up a BBQ.
Everyone else has a good thrash around in the group and meet
up at an approximate time. Few loaves, packs of sausages and
Woolies 50c cans of coke and it Hot Dogs or Ice cold can's
for $1 and any profit go's to the forum.

Advange is its cheaper than a pub lunch, Money helps out and
its OK to bring family/Kids/a football/non riding members.

Sometimes use the Red Cedar/White Cedar BBQ area's behind
Glorious or Camp Mountain lookout (BAD name!) near Nebo,
both ideal after a spirited lap of Somerset Dam/Splityard Creek.

Tony Nitrous

Living on the Northside now, and wanted a quick
morning ride today.

Bunya Rd,
Samford,
Up and over Mt Glorious,
Some nice fast sweepers out to Somerset,
Twistys around the Dam,
Kilcoy,
Neurum Rd to Woodford,
Back over Mt Mee,
Daybro,
Samford,
Home.

Was only about 220k's but had some fun sections
and several places to chose from for fuel / coffee.

Could easily have added a detour up to Nebo, Malaney,
Splityard Creek to Fernvale or similar to have extended it.

Voted for all 4 but the meltdown ride option (most important) wasnt there ! You know the one , when if you don't just get on the bike and fuck off for at least a week you will start grabbing fucktards that need it and sqeezing till eyes pop n shit.

Very keen to do the 1770/Agnes water run again this year.

Done it 3 times with ASF and enjoyed eveyone.

Always been in November, so might leave it around then,
(how much notice do you need !)

Maybe this time we avoid schoolies week when booking rooms!

Might do a group run up or maybe meet folk there, not sure.

550k's from Brissy up the highway,
600/650 if yo go the Malaney / Bunderberg backroads.

Was thinking about a run down through Rathdowney / Kyogle and then across to Uki for lunch.

Some of you guys from down south could meet us up for lunch.

Any takers ?

If not, then we might come up with another plan for next weekend.

I'm out for anything over the next 3 or 4 weekends until I finish exams. It's hibernation time for me as of Monday which means family time this weekend before i disappear into the books and pretty much don't see or speak to the Mrs and kids for the few weeks leading up to them.

I have one due Monday which I got a weeks extension on and one due friday which I haven't and wont be extending.

Plus the exam hibernation/study till my eyes and brain bleed. So I'm a killjoy. Then I think I may be moving to Townsville a few days after my exam, so I'm kinda screwed really. I'm pretty sure the Mrs aint gonna like it when i tell her...

Thank's Mono for a great day. It was wet but we had a lot of fun. Well worth the effort as it always is so next ride make the effort.
The rides will always clash with someones plans but there is enough of us that hopefully a couple can always make to keep Mono interested in organising more rides.

Sorry haven't been slack, been busy and have now found the time to do a review.
Ride went as planned a little damp at the start but the weather after lunch soon fixed that.... it totaly dumped down hahaha.
Found some new back roads, saw a burnout, and managed to find a couple of dead ends, even a road closure. All up 480ks and had a great time just ask any one of us ! Can't wait for the next one....

Fuck it! I'm out for at least a few weeks. Have somehow ended up with Bell's Palsy which means the right side of my face is temporarily paralysed and I'm having a few issues with vision on that side. That makes twice to emergency in 3 wks - once with salmonella at xmas and now this. Hadn't seen a doctor in years before now ;)

They ruined the old Boonah road and turned it into that straight piece of shit between the two. Was really disappointed when I went down it the first time. Obviously you're not on about that Tony, so where is the service road?

Tony Nitrous

Entrance is off the old road near the Beaudesert end.

Normaly do a run in to check it out, gravel, cop's, dead roo's.
