Welcome Sickboy, niiice Rickman, [:p] rare unit that.
Caliper kits for the Lockheeds are readily available from most good brake shops, are yours iron or alloy? I'm told by a classic racing mate of mine that the alloy ones are extremely rare & valuable.

Thanks mate ,alloy calipers on this one seem to be in good condition its the front master cylinder that just about fell to bits , I remember there was a firm called SPV racing dont know if they are still in buisiness do you?

Nup, no idea.
I've found over the years that if you pull the m/cyl apart (or even just take accurate measurements) & take it to a brake place that knows what they're doing, they'll usually be able to match the seals up with something - even converting metric to imperial. Good luck.

That could be a plan.Cheers.

Devo, there is no doubt you deserve your moniker!!
NO.....,[8D] not that Monica [Lewinsky, that is],the one that says you be DEVO.
Have you got the motor yet? The alternator on the 11 shit itself,[damper drive way sloppy, bearings roaring] so I used the 750 one during instal, and then yesterday the fucken startermotor shit itself! Lucky , [again] to have a spare

Hoppa and Sickboy, I dig the Rickmans, they were[and prolly still are] great handling machines of their time.

Hi all, just joined and it looks good.!
Here's my Rickman special..... Well actually it's a SS Silver Saxon Turbo 1100. It was one of 10 built by S&S Performance in the 70's.
I 'think' this is the last one remaining. It's almost as new, unregistered, 1100 miles only, ex Saxon rock group stage bike (hence low miles not registered).
I'm returning it to it's former glory with standard swingarm & Ronal wheel plus fairing.
Keep you posted if you like..?

Hey sickboy
didn't the rickmans used to have delorto (i think)twin 40 carbs on them or was it on the rickman race bikes. I have only ever seen one before and that was years ago on a stand taking pride of place in a dealers window :D

Definitely keep us posted mate, be interested to hear what it's like when that old Turbo unit kicks in, they used to be quite savage in their day, especially in the wet.

Hey Village, that's a trick piece of gear you have there! How the hell did you come across that one? Used to be a big Saxon fan (Still have an album in the ute at the moment!) I'm guessing it was something to do with the Wheels Of Steel album?

Village Idiot

Found it in an old mans shed.... brother in law of the original owner who used to work for S&S Performance and had dealings with Saxon.
As for the album I haven't a clue. Denim & Leather album has all crappy H*nda's on the back cover.
Cheers... Will
