Seems I'm the owner of a 8 foot long replica of a race ski boat designed to take a yamaha 15 hp race motor. from photos and eye witness reports it used to scream (up on full plane with a 80 kg driver only last foot of boat in water) un till the motor vibrated off and disapeared into 40 foot of water lol

Also turns out I have a Kwaka 440 upright jetski motor and jet so Yep might strap 30 odd hp of 2 stroke power into this beasty N see what happens , anybody done any work on these 440 2 stroke motors ??? Photos to come .

Hull from underneath

Jet ski from underneath, as you can see jet is an alloy housing at rear of boat but the base of the hull is also the inlet for the jet. The Ski needs to retain its look once jet is removed as I got it at the "right price" due to the fact the owner wants the hull for a advertising/sign setup. So time to get the jet out without messing with the look of the hull to much.

The motor is a 440 cc 2 stroke kawaski unit use in jet skis as well as skidoos etc they have even been used for ultra light planes on occasion. They put out about 28 hp stock but there are heaps of options to make them really pump from heads overboar barrel/piston kits expansion pipes etc etc some real hp numbers can be extracted but they do tend to turn into hangranades with a very short service life

The base of the jet ski hull removed from the ski, floatation foam needs to be stripped from the rear of the hull still. Once stripped I'll cut down the hull section near the jet tunnel and re-enforce it. The ski's hull will be intergrated into the boat hull, with the rear of the ski's hull pertruding out the rear of the boat at about the same distance as it is in the photo. There is about 300 mm that will hang out the rear, similar to the race jet boat setup. A pair of trim plates eather side of the jet as well , will hopefully keep me on top of the water Instead of doing an imitation of a shag looking for dinner.

Ive got the other three of those boats.

Except that one is a truck and one is a plane and one is an elephant and you have to put 20c in to make them go around and around for a minute or so.

are ya missing the intake grate off that "Jetski" Red...cause trust me, they fuck up real quick if anything bigish can get into the impeller housing. even a couple of reeds will fuck the show for ya.....

Yeah it's a real Kawasaki jetski mate they (kwaka) trademarked "Jetski" waverunners are yamaha mate. Yeah its missing the trash rack but I'll make a better unit outa some stainless.

Yeah thats the go...my jetski got like 3 reeds in it out on the murray in the floods this time last year. Kinda gets ya nervous when its floating pretty close to the torumbury weir...lol.
