My 10c ?

Its a crappy unfaired GS650 4v shaft that tried to get some
credability by wearing a Kat badge it REALLY didnt deserve.
Wouldnt touch one as a freebie.

Its a Kung Fu Panda to the real Katana's Bruce Lee.

Me no like.

Tony's spot on.
650 Kats are a heap of steaming shit & not worthy of the Katana name, it's a commuter/tourer that should have only been available in beige.
None of the stuff off the proper 750/1100s will fit it.

is the frame the same as 750 or is it stand alone 650

650 was a shaft drive.

750 was chain.

650 was an old GS 8 valve lump.

750 was a 16 valve GSX lump.

I wouldnt think the frames would have much in common.

I always thought the GSX1100ESD was the closest of the non-Kats
to being a Kat (if that makes sense?) Motor, wheels, antidive front end etc.

If I ever wanted to build a Katalike that'd be my choice.

Not cheap as they have the better late model "Black" motor
with the extra clutch plate etc etc.
