NAH THE ENGRAVER DID ,I ASKED HIM TO AND I DIDNT REALISE OPPS caps lock doh!! where he was putting the engraving,i used my buffer wheel to feather it out a widdle.

sorry to say mate but another colour would break all of the blue up quite nicely ,and get rid of those shitty rusted bolts on the bottom fork clamp because the rest of the new shiny stuff makes them look twice as bad ,by the way the bike is looking sweet .

I was actually thinking two tone,wite with the blue.

But this lay out has been in my head for 18months,and I kick started it with the blue wheels for AFR 2011

that is the single hardest decision to make as it is what you like and want but has to look good side by side with the blue you already have and it may clash with the frame as well so simple colours such as white black even a clean silver may look good done right or you could outline one with another as i said a crap decision i have been doing for years and still think it sucks but done correctly will look shit hot and change the bike all together if that is what you want at the end of the day.

i like all the blue to be honest it is of two dif tones match well so it works the panel blue i think do need something to breek it up
but with diff white or black starts to look like other bikes, it is a bit like the 750 that gitzy posted the pastel blue just works
maybe a stright white pin stripe or some thing ?
but to be honest i think u have the opp to really go ahead with this bike a little like kwisasfucky(cant think how to spell it but gitzy will know lol)with his use of just bold white all over
id look at the swing in same finish as frame and maybe fork bottoms as well ?
and have no raw finish like the forks, clutch cover, pegs etc and no pollish only anadised, powder or paint as the rest
the finish you have already has made a statement that i think will be very strong if the rest of the bike finished the same any less breaks up the flow.
sort of the same cross roads that russ came to on his bike(sharky) diff style but have a look at the flow when it was finished when we put it together the first time there where some things like disks that we could just see had to be looked after because it was such a strong look that any less in select places would stand out to much.... prob clear as mud hard to explain and not my strong piont lol

you are not wrong about a HARD decission mate ,the plan 18 months ago was to do the colours you guys and gals can see, i was "GUNNA" wait till all done and lay some light blue"same as wheels and frame, and as BIG KEV said "old school pinstriping"!!

OZZY ,i did think of doing the swinger and lower clamp the same but couldnt make my mind up ,so i left them,that way when the rest is done i can sit back and look at it and soak it all in :p.

put it this way KEV the route i was thinking strongly about was wat we where talking about on the mob ,but after talking to a lot of pro's ,i was addvised not to !!! such a bummer as it would have looked sweeeeeet.

but dont worry the old school pinstriping WILL be done :cool:

anyway a big fuggin yippee to EXBEN, BRENDON at S3 and george at ACEWELL USA for responding to my mayday in under 12 hours i had a claim no and brendon at s3 telling me the instructions are being redone for everyone else and i am to send my unit back for complete replacement so i can PROGRAME my ODO correctly "DOH FUCKING DOH"

yeh mate i love BG "did you know its the only product that land rover uk and aus have actually distributed in all dealerships as an service tool?? and that there is a service buleton for EGR and injector fualt and they are to use 44k and air intake cleaner first as most of EGR faults are from shit fuel here in aus "only in petrol models".

yes ive still got the diagrames/pin assignment for speedo and for acewell.

and i actually use duetch plugs for my harness,i swappped the multi pin plug for speedo with 2 x 10 pin plugs and wired the acewell using plugs ,and also made an jumper plug so when i have a fault or need to adjust the TPS ,i can plug in jumper connectors and plug in stock dash.


oh and weres my fuggin rack!!

Its always amazed me how they've built this world wide reputation as i'll be the first to admit they are pretty shit,
Mainly because rover have always tried to keep tooling costs down by sharing as many parts as possible with their cars, so things like diff's, UJ's, gearbox's etc have always been a bit weak.
And standard, they are SOOOOOO slow, but if you fit more power the weak bits bite you in the arse again lol
I like the style and i like modified ones.
I'd love to put a LWB series body on a GQ patrol running gear with a Chev V8 deisel motor. I reckon that'd be a pretty awsome combo of patrol toughness with landy styling.

But jeez, this has gone pretty off topic, best get back to talking about some kickass bikes.

have you submerged one ?? we had the "upgrade camosubmerge kit " a huge flex snorkel,for intake and same for exhaust,switch her over to presureise driveline and fit sealed fuel cap and drive her in untill fully submerged camo the two pods on top of water and let enemy go by un-noticed lol.
we never did do it but on my IET course we were shown how the germans do it they hid an entire company in a river and soldiers hid in tree line,mind you the trainer called us idiots when we asked if we had to book out scuba gear from q store??

funny you shoud say that pete !! 2 yrs ago i feel of my roof steam cleaning it, my left arm buckled when i hit the gutter and poped out my shoulder lol,here is a widdle exersize for you lot to do
