Put a turbo straight on then you wont need to buy pipes.

Im happy enough.
Was out 'till late last night and this morning took it
over Mt Nebo, Mt Glorious, Back of Mt Cootha etc.
Even with new tyres and running it in and getting used to
everything its impressive.
Sit on one in a dealers and you think its ugly and its a barge!
Ride one and you realise how good the Mk2 Busa motor is,
You cant see and soon forget the wiiiiide tank on the move.
Feels like the best bits of 1200 Bandit and a Hayabusa combined.
Running in I was told "keep her under 6000".
6000rpm is just short of 200kph.
Been going everywhere in "A" full power mode.
Pulled over, bike in neutral, select "B" mode.
Pull away, felt gutless, slowed down and gave it full throttle
from about 20kph....... it pulled like a GS500. Pulled over, reselected "A" mode.
No need to ever do that again!
The things so grunty it wouldnt be a drama to ride on wet roads or similar.
Me-no-understandi.
What else ?
Zero room under either seat,
Tool kit even has to go behind side panel,
Pillion seat reasonable, no grab rail,
Clocks do tricks like counting down to next service,
Elapst time of last ride, average speed of last ride,
Mirrors are average,
Riding position suits me as a slim 6-footer,
big boy's might not like getting their legs under the stupid tank panels.
Little 16.5 ltr tank might be its downfall,
suppose I just learn to plan ahead.
Not everyone's cup of tea, but if you want a new naked bike,
I dont think there is another Jap-4 cylinder that has the
horsepower, torque, and the running gear.
I agree on the comments about the looks. After classics like
the original Bandit12 and the GSX1400 I cant see everyone
warming to it. Shame. Its bloody good fun.
I have to keep reminding myself its not even run in and it breathing
through super quiet pipes !! I recon these things have huuuuge potential.
No regrets.
so whats the A and B mode thing? some sort of fuel economy setting?

I THINK......(and stand to be corrected) ;)
GSXR1000 has 3 modes,
1 is full peak power, very aggressive / sports mode,
2nd is full power, but smoother and less harsh / street mode,
3rd is strangled. Less power at more rev's. (crap weather / shit scared rider mode)
B-King has 2 modes,
1 full power,
1 gutless no use to anyone mode.
The thing is piss easy to ride and will chug along with only a
few rev's on. If you need a "B-mode", you shouldn't be on a "B-King".
Lol... believe me I am not about to go out and get one... I remember madly trying to keep up with you one day - obviouusly I didnt stand a chance on the 250, and I know that my own ability (and bravery) isnt a whole lot better. Nice looking bike though (i am not really into the look of the busa). If they made the same thing in a 650-750, I would be in. as it is will probably go the z750 to get my next level on.

Hey Tone - I was down at springwood suzuki the other day and was talking to the bloke who sold you the bike. Totally agree with you mate - even if it isn't the best looking bike under the sun with an engine that pulls like that - who cares?
Could be worse... it could look like a zx14 [xx(]
Enjoy your new baby mate!

Rode one today.
Very nice, good power in 4th above 6k rpm, bit of a hint to whats locked away with timing retard and secondary throttles,
Brilliant brakes,
Who would use B setting its like turning 3 cyls off[xx(]
Tony grab the swingarm and feel the inside edge ;)
These will be a big seller,

Yeah, strange!
No back on it just internal webing,
I keep finding little bits too,
Who else uses 3 seperate panels to make a front guard ?
Thing is, it works, and it works well.
...and as you said....with the usual Pipes/Commander/filter/TRE
and junk any PAIR type crap it'll be VERY "entertaining".
This is poking the camera in through the wheel, wouldn't
have spotted it unless I was told or actually cleaned it.

Mmmm so a nice little dirt trap to fill with chain lube and crud....
odd. seems a little complex for something that already has a brace on it. I imagine that will be one of the hardest places to clean.
So does any company make cans for it yet, or do you have to use a custom job / slip on?

that'd be the result of the current trend for casting
think you'll find its cos they can pump things out with less cost in high numbers
pretty tricky to cast a box section swinger!

TBR list them and so do Yoshi, sure lots of others will soon.
Springwood Suzuki have Yoshi's on order.

Nice, I am thinking about buying one within the next year, then I have to pull it apart, paint it, and do some other stuff to make it different than what someone can go buy.
Cheers mate, I like it!!!
It will certainly look better with some other cans on it. the stock ones just dont do it for me. You keeping the under seat ones, or swinging one off the side?

Yeah, seen those.
Wasn't impressed with the gap's around them or the LED strip light.
Micron's look better.
