02 GSXR 1000
I was looking for a crashed 1000 for a new project to build as a street bike for general riding around when i came across this, so I bought it.
The previous owner who is an ally fabricator has done a fair bit to it, powder coating and polishing wheels, making various brackets, the chain guard is a work of art !

The fairing will go and will be replaced by something nicer.
The risers have been tig'd as well as bolted to the triple clamp but are on the piss so i am going to do another triple, if that doesn't work out, i'll call Stu.
I will also put some oberon barend mirrors on it, not only do the ones on it not look very nice, they dont work very well either.

Also thinking of an under engine exhaust, but then I;ll lose the exhuast valve which i assume gives me some midrange.

Plus I have a couple of other bibs and bobs on the go for it.

No, I got rid of two, bought one. I'm still in front.
Down to four in the shed, only three are mine.

Not at this stage Deano. I still have the turbo bike at home for discreet, fun times so this is just a streeter.
But I did specifically look for an FI bike because you just never know do you ?

the exhaust valve boosts midrange, but nearly all full systems will ditch this anyway. A good tuner with a power commander can smooth the curve out. I recommend ditching it for the top end gain you get. Very hot gix, any front on pics?
