Anyone have any experience at the New England pub in Walcha?

Doin the Oxley on the weekend and looking for some digs.

I have always stayed at the Commercial before, which is a great lookin pub with a full balcony around it and the staff are friendly but it is kinda dull in the bar. I think it is going for the upmarket tourist crowd.

I want something a bit more real.

Walcha.....if you want something resembling night life you maybe better off riding the extra 60ks to Armidale mate.

HAHAHA. Yeah i know. I dont expect a night out at the cross. Just more than 2 or 3 people in the bar on a saturday night.

Believe it or not Walcha is booked out! big bowls weekend! Yee Haa.

Staying at Uralla instead. Should be even deader!............

I've stayed at the c'van park a few times. Good cabins and bike friendly. If you ring the New England they will pick you up and drop you back after a skin full! Saves trying to remember how the fuck to get back there on foot.
