Admittedly they are twat pommy journo's but it is definate proof of what every bike rider has been thinking for years.

The japs bring out a completely new model every few years and reading the press blurb you would think the new one is so good you should immediately crush last years model as it is so inferior.

Imagine if they spent 300 bucks or so getting the suspension freshened up. I am guessing it would be less than a second.

Thing is tho, they didn't show like for like. A litre bike is a handfull round cadwell, the more power you have round there, the more difficult it is to get a good lap. if they had used 600's from 1994, and a current one, or a top class rider, there would probably have been 3 or 4 seconds difference.
