May sound like a stupid title; wouldn't we all! :D
I am building a real budget fighter out of one of my 70's 2 strokes, it's just a commuter/run about thing.
So, if anyone had things like;
Standard good looking footpegs and hangers (after swapping to rearsets)
Bars (Fat/chrome/cafe racer style - anything considered)
Cool mirrors (maybe OEM, maybe aftermarket?)
Some shocks with piggy backs
Cool/interesting lights/dash/guards/ect they want to get rid of, please let me know.

Hoping to spend a few hundred bucks and add some modern touches and make it stand out!

Can't afford to build it up properly ATM... :(

Hmm, seems like the Cafe theme is the way to go!

Oh Sharky, how wide is that guard? I might just chop down the guards that are on it. Then some low sweepy kinda bars, custom alloy brackets for some rearsets, pod's :) Then a paint job and lotsa polishing :)

Well, my blue rocket ship that I picked up for just over $1200 has done 2 weeks of commuting to work and one longer run with no worries at all (once I threw a new set of NGK's in her).
I had to use two or three parts from my collection of "good bits" that will make up the red one once restoration is complete. But that's OK, I'll cross one bridge at a time.

I have decided on a Cafe Racer/Flat Tracker look for my commuter - I seem to have a thing about modding all my bikes... So, been scrounging round for suitable parts - already have a set of ace cafe bars with good chrome. And a nice big tacho!

The tacho leads to my next tale. It's affixed to a GT 250 I just picked up off Ebay. I took a punt on a pile of bits for $120 and it was well worth it!!!

From the above photos I thought there was at least 100-150 bucks worth of stuff.
When I got it home and went through it all I found...

The thing is fitted with an aftermarket electronic ignition!!! If the ign system works that's somewhere above 500 bucks worth of high voltage!

A cool monster tacho and bracket fitted right in the middle of the top tripple will look ace on my cafe racer
Now, why would a GT 250 have a tacho and not a speedo?

Then I found the huge amount of hand welded frame bracing! This thing was obviously a race bike!

The engine turns over and has heaps of compression, it still has carbs fitted.

I love my old dungers!!!
