Hey guys,

Was going to keep this close to my chest, but thought fuckit..

Picked up another toy to play with which might just end up as a daily rider which will leave Mongrel to be finished off..

Im in the dog house cause I havent sold the other GSXR yet... and something about promising that I wont buy any more bikes....

All front end plastics totalled. Forks possibly have a slight bow. Apart from that... the rest of the bike is excellent.

BTW its an 01 ZX9.

Bike was in an accident about a week or so ago.... rider was damn lucky to survive.... went under a semi (unloaded thank fuck) one side wheel went over top of his helmet/head and other side crushed one of his feet. Forced coma for 4 days and now doesnt want anything to do with bikes...

Anyway, still no decided what to do with bike yet....

Hey Rod,

Werent any bites on that day so I adjusted our route to go through Broken Hill instead which cuts off another 300kms off our trip.

^ What he said ^
After riding a slow old GSXR 1100, you'd better hold on real tight when you go for a ride now ;)

Id say the damage was light after making love to a semi... A good score

The bike was spared the tango with the truck. The bike hit a traffic island and slid along the grass in middle of island before hitting a tree... At this stage, the forks may have a slight bow in them or may just be one... not sure yet. As for the rest of it... The only damage was nose cone, both belly pans and front forks... all the rest is in perfect condition.

This ones gonna be a keeper... just not sure if going to remain standard or a slight fighter treatment.

Welcome to Team Green Jarrod - if your headlight is OK you'll easily get $250 + on Ebay [:0]

That should get you one foot out of the doghouse ;)

Hey Hillsy,

Nah... two of the tabs to attach headlight are broken off... the rest of the light assembly is fine though... Have you still got any unwanted parts to your ZX9 that I might be able to pinch... Drop me a line via email if you have mate.

Thanks

Jarrod

Yeah, was going to make a couple of small 90 degree brackets, glue tabs back on and then reinforce them with 90 degree brackets and screw it into headlight assembly... rough and probably considered bodgy... but should be effective.

Here is two pics Ive taken with all the broken fairing off... Going to put a set of twin dominator lights, mirrors and indictors to get it on the road sooner than later... Keep walking past it thinking damn it looks good for the price.

had a look at a CLEAN low Ks 2000 model (i think) zx9 today and thinking of the fighter potential. yours is in pretty sweet shape and looks like itll be a cool ride.

Hey Jarrod, looks like you got yourself a damn sweet ride there. Unfortunate for the previous owner, but a case of right place at the right time again you lucky bastard. Dont worry 'bout the misses, she'll get over it..........eventually.
