Guys i am after a good condition set of ignition pickups and a timing rotor for my GT750 donk. there are no points and it is a mech advance setup. It's still working so im not a huge rush but it has coped some damage in the past + the wire insulation is cracking and i think it may be part of my tuning problems.

or an equivalent substitute

The thread on the top screw mount stuffed up on my motor, but my fix was pretty much the same! Cut away the wire with cracked insulation , and solder/insulate a new pair of wires in, it's only wire, no tricks.....

the insulation has actually broken right at the pickup housing, and if you look closely the actual pickup points have taken a hit in the past from the spinning rotor so they are a bit disfigured.

Just priced genuine up, $181 plus i have to wait for the slow boat from japan.

you can get one of these if yours is the one with the mechanical advance, only problem is they use a lot more amps than the Kawasaki one. Good if your charging system is up to scratch :D

i think from a bit of reading they are for the old points based Z's where the advance was done in the igniter box? and wont work to well with mine as mine does it on the crank and all the different wiring and shit. I am not in the mood at this stage for a full rewire at the moment but if it comes to that i may as well go a full programmable ignition.

Jay, old zeds with points had a centrifical advance like yours and no igniter box. its an easy fit except for the high power usage. :)
