Harley-Davidson is expected to complete a deal to buy Italian superbike manufacturer MV Agusta and sub-brand Cagiva within weeks.
The deal, thought to be worth $109 million, will merge two diametrically opposed motorcycle brands.
Harley-Davidson is hoping to expand its presence in Europe, where sales have been growing for three years on the trot. In the US, however, Harley sales have been falling.
Rumours that the next-generation MV Agustas will sport leather tassles on the handlebars and pockets for beard combs cannot be substantiated.
Aparrenty this is due to the massive Debt MV are in. Would be interesting to see what sort of models we will see the MV badge on in the near future.
