A mate of mine recently did a similar level of injury, except he got his stuck in chain and sprocket while cleaning his chain with a rag with the engine running and in gear and simply lopped it off. Hope you heal ok.

I read somewhere that most Buick drivers were missing brain cells or body parts.

Geez, are you the 3rd person on this forum to injure a hand somehow this year? Bad luck going around here.
You're not going to be able to do any "Hoppa" tackles with that hand now. Hope you recover quickly.

Hey Weasel, that's not good to hear mate.
I hope you heal up okay.

I remember I cut my hand up pretty bad with a drillpress and some steel about 15 years ago, it wasn't much fun.
One of those silly learning experiences I guess.

Weaselman

Aah mate look on the bright side - at least now a fingerless glove will cover ya thumb which is a bonus if ya ever need it!

Now all you need to do is even the rest of em up!

Get well soon mate.

Lucas
10-09-2008, 09:09 AM
And I was complaining when I cut the very tip of my finger off, even though it grew back. After seeing the collective missing bits and pieces I'll shut the fuck up.

The way things are going we'll soon be able to make an ASF Frankenstine monster out of all the body parts various members are losing.

Fight_fan
10-09-2008, 10:18 AM
Fuckn hell Rod! How did it happen? Brake leavers dont just up n eat half ya finger off... Do they...

BANDITROD
10-09-2008, 10:54 AM
im the type of bloke who tried to protect my bike with my inferior body and the bitumen won .....it was a bit of poor road condition mixed with rider error and of course stupid me didnt have riding gear on except for my boots and draggin jeans (had a long sleeve t-shirt on) so the top half of me was missing skin fuckin everywhere plus broken ribs, collarbone, fractured elbow, and ac joint .....so all in all a shit day out and i was out of commision for 6 weeks

Fight_fan
10-09-2008, 12:27 PM
Oh shit! Yeh I learnt the hard way, after gravel rash to the legs, that ther's no substitute for proper ridin gear hey! Now I never leave home without it...

I'm a slow learner been down the road twice in shorts and t-shirt and colorado sandals and well sometimes I still ride in less than the best protection. I would say 99.9% of the time I wear it but on rare occasions I'll slip down the shop for bread and milk etc without. Depends I guess.

Not advisable and the pain of having the incorrect dressing pulled off the day after it was applied the second time (yep they were teaching me a lesson I'm sure) has meant now I wear it pretty much everytime.

My sis was a UK nurse....bikers that came in wearing leathers/protective gear they were real nice and gentle to...
Those in t-shirts and shorts got the scrubbing brush to get out the gravel. [:0]
