Hi there, I'm Joe[8D]

atm I'm 16, riding a 50cc in England and working at a bike shop part time.

I'll be 17 at the end of february and then I can get any bike I want, within my price range, that'll be an old shitter then:D

I'm on a low budget and want to make quite a basic Fighter. Any particularly good starter bikes you could recommend?

Basically I'm looking to get a stubby can on it, change the subframe/arse end, get a headlight unit on it, probably the Megatec predator one as I really like it, and then see where it goes from there.

I'd also appreciate it if anyone could point me towards a UK/European supplier of Streetfighter bits, like you have AuSFR.

Cheers guys:)

Hopefully I will be able to get a cheap 400 from work, if not I will ring Riverbank, cheers for that.

Hopefully I can start my project before I'm 17 too as I may have some inheritance coming my way.

Going to have to subscribe to Streetfighter over the interweb, I can't find anywhere near me that does it.

And I'm from Banbury near Oxford, England.

The guys already dead, I'm not that desperate for a fighter haha, I just dunno if I'll get any money.

We've got a nice FZR400 in at work at the moment, hoping that stays unsold for a little while..

Welcome aboard Moonie. I used to ride through Banbury a lot. PEST engineering in Gloucester will do any custom work you want done. As for bolt on bits, there are a few German members on ASF that will help you get the Megatech gear and other such goodies.

Get the FZR400 and drop a yzf600 motor in, its a straight fit, and goes like stink, easily matches most modern day 600s, particularly in the corners.

Hi matey,

Years ago my first attempt at a streetfighter was an FZR 400. I had no welding skills (Still dont) so I did the best I could with what I had. I droped the forks through the yokes, and fitted risers from M and P. put masking tape on the seat unit and stuck a hack saw blade in my jig saw and cut the seat unit down, this then exposed the res, so I got a GPZ res from the local brakers and put it under the seat pod. All the other bits I painted polished and bolted on. Oh and I didnt have alot of money at the time so for a young guy on a budget, its do'able. Hope this helps buddy.

Regards,

Jonathan. :)

P.S. I'm new here too, nice blokes aint they!!!
