Kinda strange how it's plumbed up though. Looks like three headers plumbed into one turbo and one into the other like that.

wouldnt 2 small ones like those do the same job as one big one.

seems like twice the work for the same result

Deano you wanna give him the link to the "How to" page on here for the carb mods he's doing? Meaning the turbo the carbs etc

May get us another full member if he likes the info...

I think this guy just lovs the wow factor more than anything else. Here's another example of his fascination with madness:

Good on him I say.

Looks like the headers go from cylinders 1 & 4 into one turbo and cylinders 2 & 3 into turbo 2.
The only more convoluted exhaust work I've seen is on pommy choppers green zed chopper - nutz.

Yer is is a lot more work and 1 would not be better it would just deliver the power different .. with 2 you could have one come onto boost after the first so you'll get boost across the rev range, with 1 bigger turbo it's all on in one hit. And to get it making power at the top the boost would have to come on later in the rev's..
But the most important part of having 2 turbo's is, you dont and he does.. This is what fighters are about .. Being Different.. good on him fuckun

thats the first one i've gandered
fuckkin SWEET too

twin turbos are normally easier for twins (dont have to fuck around as much with routing)
but that thing is MEAN

love it!

Could you theoretically have two small turbos like this and get on the boost quicker than with 1 larger turbo?
I'm guessing a lot would depend on what type of inlet manifold the turbos run to ie. a single plenum or dual.

not to sure how welll this system will work or how much better it will be than a single turbo system.

this guy is using 2 turbos that are the same size not staged like ivan said. i guess the best set up would be to have one turbo nice and small and then have an electrcally controlled valve in the exhaust that would then redirect the exhaust gasses to the larger turbo as the revs/load rise so the larger turbo takes over from the smaller turbo.

i am unsure how the twin turbo cars like skylines etc have there staged turbo setups working, i can only assume it is similiar to the way i thourght they would work.

Thats what i was thinking but couldnt type .. i havnt sleep in 4 days and its taking its toll .. there's a couple of cars out there that run a small supercharger and big turbo and cut out the supercharger when the turbo is coming on boost ... its a great idea as you always have boost thou it'd be an epic to fit that stuff on a bike .. and not really worth it ... just get a turbo that big enough to suck a child out of a pram from 50M and strap that to the bike if you want big power, but you need jerry can to pour the fuel in

The twin turbo Lexus uses a small one down low in the revs then the bigger one as the revs pick up, this is primarily to reduce lag. I cant imagine why you wouldnt do it a similar way on a bike, it might be like water flow, you can get more through two 4" pipes than one 8" pipe cant you.

but on a bike the sort of power that a huge turbo creates will then be un usable. if you have a small turbo that could produce power up to say 6000rpm and then switch over to a large turbo that could carry on to redline you a potentially talking about maybe 500hp depending on boost levels. i would have thourght that 250 would be plenty (not that i have ridden a 250hp bike) and that sort of power could be easily made by a single turbo and with turbo design coming a long way i bet turbo lag on the correct sized turbo would be fuck all to reach 250hp.

in saying that i still want 2 turbos on my bike.
