I was going for a walk this arvo when I heard a bike coming to a stop with a compression lock-up. As I turned around I saw a bloke on a nice new yellow GT650 Hyo NOT put his foot down and fall over, hurting his pretty bike. As I was giggling away my wife told me to see if he's ok, needs help etc.

I was almost tempted to tell him about this site as I asked if he needed help but I think he woulda killed me:D

sux to be him , when you say compression lock up you mean seized ? have heard on the hyo forum of a few eary ones dropping valves and hyosung fitting new crate motors under warranty , still this aint going fix the sratches and dents

Nah, compression lock-up, down shift on high revs without rev matching.

He broke off the right front indicator, brake lever and fuck knows what else, thats just what I saw on the road.

ive done that a few ways

1) put foot into patch of oil (no, not left by my bike [:P])
2) snagged my jeans on the footpeg

managed to sorta recover before i smashed down too hard though :D

That's happened to me, with a shoe lace wrapped around the gear lever.
Luckily got the other foot down, and spent a couple of minutes untangling.
