Ever tripped and fallen head first into a fire? I dont recommend it, the natural reaction is to put your hands out in front of you which while admittedly stops ytou from burning your face off instead burns your hands off.
Yes I was pissed, although im completely capable of being this stupid sober. I saw the log onthe ground, thought, geeze watchout for that log u might trip, then failed to negotiate it.. oh well more fucking skin grafts, i hope ur all having a better day with less puss haha.

Fuck, juat got back from the burns unit. they cut all the burnt skin and flesh off 7 ofmy fingers, my palms,wrists and arms then scubbed all the charcloalout, that as fairly unpleasant. The good news is they are going to try to do it without grafts which is fucking great. bad news is have to keep bending my fingers so they dont heal straight and it hurts quite abit soithinkill have a few beers first.
Still not sure how im gonna wipemy arse but imthinking some roll out lawn an just drag myself back and forth like dogs do..

Apparently im doin ok. Not only have i been lucky enough to have been treated by some of the best burns people in the country at a facility that has taken lessons from the victims of the Bali bombings, but i also have the metabolism of a rabbit heal remarkably quickly.
When you walk into a place like rph burns unit or the telstra burns unit upstairs you really have no idea of the horrors that some people are currently or have faced. Very humbling stuff.
Ive got most the mobility back in my right hand and hope to have it all back by my next session on tues. My wrist, arm and middle finger on that hand are still the worst.
