Hi All in the land of OZ

Hi all,

My name is Jonathan and I live in a small town by the sea in Essex England 'Yes I'm a Pom' lol :) I ride a CBR RRT Fireblade and decided to fight it some time ago as a winter project.

I went to a track day at Snetterton last Tuesday and on the last out of the day, You guessed it, Trashed it.

So, the winter project comes a bit sooner than I thought.

I have managed to get a 96 VFR Single sided swing arm and 5.5j rear wheel. and that wiil be one of the first things to go in as its a nice easy one just to get the ball rolling, then I want to fit a R1 2005 seat unit, and kick the arse up just a fraction to give it a little SF cool, and show off the arm a bit more.

I have posted a thread in one of the Q and A forums as I could do with a little advice to do the latter.

Any advice would be most greatfully received.

G'day Jon welcome to the site. Sounds like you've got a good project on your hands there. Haven't attempted what your doing with the subframe but good luck. I'm sure some of the clever sods around here will be able to point you in the right direction.

Hi Matey, I would be there in a flash as my wife is from Wollongong NSW, but she loves it here and wont go back. I think taht there is more to it mate, perhaps she is wanted by the ozzy old bill, or has a husband over there she dont want me to bump into, just in case I give her back.

I think its my white socks that attracted her to me, lol.

There is a guy on e-bay that says he can re-baffel the R1 zorst to suit my Blade and make em sound a bit more lard....... sorry Essex for loud lol.

Hi All,

as you can see from the photo, this week mostly I are bin makin fiddly bits.

Infill panels for the sub-frame, and bottom sub-frame mounting brackets.

The infills will be the same colour as the seat, tank etc.. and the bottom brackets will be satin black as is the sub-frame.

I may not have come up with the best answer to the problem, but I like it, ha ha.

It took a bit of figuring out but I got there in the end lol. :D

If anyone wants a copy of my templates, let me know. Be more than happy to share what I did with you guys, and take a little of the head ache out of it.

Sorry Lads, keep forgetting to reduce the image size first. At this stage all the nuts bolts etc are temp and going to be replaced with nice stainless jobbies.
