2001 Yamaha R1 parts needed

Need to find the top fairing, including the sub-frame and screen. Also the clocks and front fender

Bought a bike with front end damage which is a repairable write-off. Need to get it fixed for the VIV inspection asap

Went to Vic wreckers yesterday. Don't have any of the parts I need.

Unfortunately not many people know how to keep the front end of their R1's intact it seems

Wacky, don't be afraid to look outside VIC either. I got my whole front end from a wrecker in WA to NSW and they did me a great deal with freight etc.
Very comparible to local mob.

Having worked in a Yamaha Dealership I can readily assure you finding parts of R-soles which aren't completely torn apart to rebuild written-offers is like finding rocking horse droppings. They do exist on occasion, but they are few and far between. Don't be too afraid to price new ones they may be a lot more reasonable than you're imagining. It is normally the labour component of the quote which sees the bike written off not the cost of the parts...

Shadowzone, tied callng that number but no answer. Also sent a txt!!!

So have the subfrrame and h/lights o the way from Chase.
Also found a dash/clocks from the states, which are on their way.

Still needed are:

RH mirror
Front fender (maybe Sharky)
Upper fairing

Mate I spoke to him he has the headlight unit no fairings but he does have rearsets and other stuff like the mirrors etc.

Keep calling him he'll answer. Or I can flick you his email address?

He'll get there. I know cause I bought his forks and triples off him complete with axle.

He also has an undertray if you need one. I wanted his subframe, ductail and undertray but he sold the other 2 so the undertray was useless to me.

Just managed to get a h'light and fairing stay bracket from Chase. They should be here b friday.

Also scored a dash and a screen from on ebay.

All's left is the upper fairing and the front fender now

All arrived in 1 piece 2day at work.

I was like a kid on Xmas.

All's left now is that front fender.

Don't know if the newer models will fit. The spacing between the 2 mounting holes on mine is 60mm.

Would be the same from 1998-2001. Not sure about 2002 onwards though. Anyone know???
