Trying to find one I saw ages ago where they blow up an I.E.D and you can here a huge chunk of shrapnel hum past the cameraman's head.Like the second vid, but it doesnt land near them.

Here's a type of weapon being developed in brisbane. china has already offered the guy 10 million (or billion.. one of the two) to move over and develop it there, and another 10 million when its done. (he said no obviously)
The techonology is called metal storm. The same thing is used for grenades/mortars, and even fire fighting with foam canisters!

i'm pretty sure metal storm is well and truly developed and being used by the good old US of A. There was some video of a theoretical situation and they worked out it could cover a football field in a few seconds.

the used to have a test range back in lincolnshire (pommieland) called wainfleet. Th A10's would fly in and blast the shit out of sea based targets. It was a barrage on the senses because everything seemed delayed:-

1) see smoke from gun
2) see smoke from target
3) "gentle thuds are heard" as the target is hit
