Any of you Mehicoooons interested in a Snowy Mountains ride in November?

quote:On the week end of November 15 and 16 a few of us New South Welshmen ( Chase, Jockney Rebel, Weasel, Billy Bob and myself) have agreed to participate in a weekend of riding and drinking to a destiny unknown. We will be heading south towards the NSW / Victoria border maybe spending a night at the Snowy Mountains?

To be honest, at the the time of writing this post Fuck knows where we will end up However we need more numbers to make this a ride to remember, maybe a ride worth repeating every November?

So I'm inviting every one who reads this to join us on the NOBODY'S FOOL RUN 08 Also if anyone has any brilliant ideas of where we should go, places to stay etc, your input is welcome.

The success and enjoyment of the recent NSW rides has been due to every participants flexibility. So put your hand up, give some input and then prepare for the best riding crammed in one weekend

Adaminaby offers a good range of accom (pub, caravan park with cabins, motel which from memory the motel offers special deal for bike riders), is small enough that even if you only get 25 or so you are going to be the biggest action in town and is pretty much gives everyone a ride through the twisties.

They will even set a barrel up on the veranda for you and help yourself. Is this just a bloke ride ??? coz its kinda over my way and would love to go, if banditrod is up to it, so will i........[:X]

Yippee, looks like i can show you my neck of the woods rod, hate to say it but its a bit better riding than dimboola mate. It will take me a bit to get used to bends in the road again. And a few chicks on the ride just gives it a bit more class......[:X] and i will have to take the triple i think, coz that other thing is to hard in the twisty bits....

So where are the Vic riders gonna meet up and whats going on?

I'm lost...

rod185651
01-09-2008, 07:23 AM
AS Jim missed the meeting due to work commitments and I had to leave before the planning meeting commenced our involvement has changed to being participants only.
To make things less confusing and easier to organise, those wishing to be put on the list should now contact Pete (PT).

Pete, put me down as a definate for both nights.

timbo
01-09-2008, 09:40 PM
It might be a good idea for the Vic's to have a small get together and work out when and where we are leaving from.
I personally like the idea of heading down through Gippsland to Cann River and then north to Cooma.
Just my 2 cents worth, I'm easy.

ok just posted up in the NSW section about booking and should have sent emails to most (if not all) possible participants who haven't let me know if they are in or not. sorry to make everyone say yes twice, but i need to be sure so we don't fuck the pub around.

it's the alpine hotel cooma, $25 a night for the group (need to let me know) and we are staying the friday and saturday. apologies to all parties concerned for moving it, but it was done so riders didn't have to hammer for a good few hours to cooma, then when they are tired at the end of the ride hit some serious twisties.

TurboKat
04-09-2008, 10:59 AM
The Espy is slang for The Esplanade Hotel Jules, it is without doubt the best Pub in the free world. [^]
It's on the (upper) Esplanade in St Kilda overlooking the beach.
If it goes ahead & I'm around on Satdy I'll drop in for a few, I HIGHLY recommend hanging around until 6 when Phil Para & his band come on, they play Bluesy Rock (Jimmi, Stevie Ray, Clapton, etc) & Phil is the second best guitar player in the world after the legendary Simon Naish ;)

So are we on for the Espy this arvo or what? It's a magnificent Spring day in sunny Melbourne & I can't think of anything better to do this arvo than sitting around in the sun, talking shit, drinking <s>mead</s> beer, perving on babes & generally living life.

I think its about time us Mexicans stop gettin the raw end of the deal,
and get our own run together and maybe do the run on the same dates but go to Khancoban there is a lovly camping ground called Lakeside and bugger me its on a lake (with fish in it)
I read some where that the owner is a biker himself and doesnt mind bike groups ,we could have an ace ride ,drink lots of mead ,catch loads of fish and for the psychedelic among us TURN ON TUNE IN & DROP OUT :)
P.S. I think someone might have some T shirts for us?

KATO ZX7
07-09-2008, 11:33 AM
Is there anywhere in the fine state of "Mexico" that would be good run??

Up thru Flowerdale is a good run, full of mega twisties??

If we are to go to Khancoban still, its only an extra 1.5 hrs? to Cooma.
Do we need to cross the border?

oldskool
07-09-2008, 01:48 PM
Mate Im keen on a Vic run too and I will be in with what ever we come up with, Its about time we did somthing a bit bigger than a day ride and Im lookin forward to seein some of you in your PJs,
I would like a great ocean road run as summer is comin and booze bikes and a swim would be tops and there is some great camp grounds and pubs on the beach.

KATO ZX7
07-09-2008, 03:18 PM
Ahha, you must be reading my mind.
Was thinking somewhere with a beach close by.
Only prob with the great ocean rd is the amount of slow and/or wanker tourists that use it.
Nothing worse than being stuck behind a tourist bus, doing 20km'h and you cant pass'em.

I'l get into a few maps and let you know what we come up with :D

wackyrider
07-09-2008, 05:07 PM
How about heading up to Malacoota. There should be some good roads up there

KATO ZX7
08-09-2008, 08:42 AM
After a discussion with Stelf, we'r still going to go to Cooma.

Time is running short and there is still a few of us Vic members who are going.

Mexico should have a weekend run, just the organizing of it seems to be a hassle.

i am riding to cooma with a mate and bell and i am also keen on a vic run and i know a few good spots but they are out my way ie: the grampians is my turf but it is the same old story heaps of tourist depending of time of year and they have plenty of places to stay and have a lake for dylan to go fishing if you guys are keen i can get some info for ya .............btw its about 250klms towards adelaide here is a link http://maps.google.com.au/maps?ie=UTF-8&hl=en&tab=wl i am very keen for a piss up with u lot so this is my suggestion but would like to know what you guys reckon we could maybe even pursuede Team FUF to come if we ask nicely and cops arent a big issue around here either they seem to focus on truckies rather than bikes

Shyte yes stayed there heaps of times, Great spot, great tucker, and Stewie,( the owner) and chelle( the cook) always put on a good turn, and the loop around the grampions is always fun. Just watch out for the whoopers, our last trip cost us heaps, and a lot of points.

oh yeh if ya do have a turn at troopers don't forget to take ya favorite music DVD's, stewie has a pretty smart projector hooked up to a pumpin sound system.. Something to tap the foot too while leaning on the bar to stop it fallin over[8D] or while play pool up stairs.[8]
Oh yeh don't think he, stewie has slipped you a micky, when a roo just casual as all shit joins you, at the bar for a social. Yes its a fucken roo, not the drugs, not the booze, not some bloke with a roo suit, fucken with ya head[}:)]. And of course the Wartook Hilton is always a good place late in the night, for a late night BS session around the fire.

Sunday the 23/11 is the last round of the Victorian Interclub Roadracing Series at Broadford, I really hope to have the RR sorted & racing by then (it's very close) but if not, I'd be keen for a weekend of ASF style tomfoolery.
