Whats this bit on me carbies ?

This hole has what looks like a brass ball in it (fixed not loose). They were all blocked up with crud....What does it do ???? (the hole not the crud [:p])

It's probably where they drilled a port to some other chamber, once drilled they have to be resealed, maybe its a starter jet if you look on the side you will probably be able to figure it out.

It's for blocking with crud mate, so it must be working fine. I'd make a guess at it being a generic cast mate, and on one model it did something.

think's there's an article on old skool suzuki about that there hole but I can't seem to get onto the site to track the link to it but look up the carb mods in the 7/11 section
