front guard 85 gixxer

will be fitting an usd front end to my 85 gixxer soon and was after any info about if i can use my original front mudguard? if i can how do i do it

It wouldn't be worth the trouble mate, as your 85 guard fixes to your forks with a brace above the wheel, and USD guards fix to the forks down above the axel, sure you could do it with alot of glassing/plastic welding, but it would be alot easier to get the guard that came of the model of forks your putting on!

I've just done this with mine, and I defineately won't be trying to put the ugly original one back on!
