Hi Everyone,
Well impressed with the website and the people that contribute!
I ride a Yamaha MT-01, I am new to WA and looking for people to ride with, when the weather gets better that is!
Like the look of the April fools meet, reminds of the Superbike mag Ultimate streetbike events in the UK in the late eighties, great fun and just as mad!
Cheers:D

I reckon we need to organise another night down the Motorplex. Between you with that fancy shifter and Hagar and his new B-King should be good.
How much did the set up cost ya?

I'm up for that Bullfrog :D

I can feel a grudge match coming on!

bring it on [:p]

I bought the shifter back in the UK it was about $2500, but I managed to work a deal out with Roy at Proshift for future kits, so if anyone is interested just drop me a mail.

cheers

Hi Bear,
The MT-01 is a Torque monster as you can imagine from a 1700cc long stroke motor! It makes about 80bhp @ 5000rpm which is not a great deal, it feels much quicker than the figures.
I took it to Perth motorplex for the all bike drags and managed a 12.05 @ 106mph, but they must be capable of mid elevens.
This guy from Rapid bikes got a 11.7 out of one

Fantastic bike on a twisty road but at 260kg a bit heavy!

Hi Gsxr,
check the shifter out on their website http://www.proshift.co.uk/
then drop me a line and I will get you a price delivered. Cheers

Hi Kato ZX7,
your right the yellow pin striping is naf, it came std with this colour bike! it sat in "five star yamaha" for two years before I bought it at a discounted price. I will have to wait till I have some spare cash before I paint them [:I]

My bike is in standard ASF black, ive thought about putting the green tape round my wheels.
It'l be the only touch of green on my Kwaka. I say, its not that naf :D

It does cause the odd touch of "Green Envy"to those who see it. [}:D](insert evil laugh here)

Hi Mr BWizz,
April fools sounds like a trip to make, its only two weeks later than the lake Gairdner slat flat speed run's AKA the "fastest indian"
http://www.dlra.org.au/2009.htm mmmmmmm, now there's a thought, I have a bit of a project I wouldn't mind maxing out! :D

Hi Ozkat,
I have been on to Proshift and they have give me some prices to ship to Oz (Haha), so I will forward the details on to you, cheers.

Hi Gix11,
Rapid mick gets everywhere, I bumped into the guy on the MT owners club forum where I was sprouting on about how good the Proshifter was! http://www.mtoc.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=2377 thats the link if your interested, I dont know if you have to be a member to see it?
Are you the ASF website founder? you seem to be the one with the most posts. If so, Bloody good job, you have definately started something special :)

Tried to do the salt lake thing two years ago...drove most of the way there to find out it was rained out.[xx(] Clipsal 500 was close by thankfully. What have you got lined up for the salt?

Gidday Steve,
Welcome from another WA member.
There's a few bikes off the road at the moment for the winter months but there'll be rides and get togethers aplenty in the future.
Also keep an eye out for the beer tours in the WA section, they are becoming legendary.

Hi Bullfrog,
I was all set to go this year, but the event was cancelled again due to soft salt, ah well, maybe next year if I can afford it? The bike is forced inducted honda 600, Pic below, like me it doesn't look that good with no clothes on [:0]
