I'm the new guy I just surfed in from Canada on the wawes from the internet.
I figured it was time to get some new fresh ideas.
having travelled a fair bit with some Aussies (2 years)this will be a hoot getting to know some new people:D
The guys I travelled with were from Melbourne and diehard St Kilda fans,If in doubt just call in nr4 Plugger (Tony Locket)according to my mates he was the dogs bollox[8D]
my M8's old man was involved with the St Kilda organisation so I got to see lots of pictures and memorobilia.
Enough about Aussie rules fotball. The reason I'm here is because I'm building a fighter
I have a couple of options open to me and I've had a hard time making my mind up.
I have a 96 1200 bandit roller with a 88/89 gixxer750 engine in good condition.
I also have a 86 1100 gsxr with a 86/750 engine in unknown condition.
last of all I have a 95 RF900 donor bike with an engine in great shape. The RF900 engine is 5 speed and is based on the water cooled Gsxr1100 engine.
What I really want to do is to install the RF900 engine in the 1200 bandit[}:)]I heard about people installing water cooled engines in the oil cooled frames. The RF900 engine have a down draft head and it will not clear in the gsxr frame. One guy had an Rf900 engine in his gixxer and he used a gsxr750 to make it fit.According to him his bike is a rocket:D
Does anmyone here have any experience in installing a water cooled engine in a bandit or gsxr frame?
Great place u guys have here Mick
